I couldn't let this subject go by without commenting. I have a tree peony,
which is on its second full year in one of my beds. Can't recall the name.
This year the plant had three blooms, about 10 inches across. Just
finished yesterday. Yellow with peach tones, and a red edge on all petals.
Stunning! I located a woman who makes freeze-dried flower arrangements,
and she's agreed to freeze-dry all three for me at $4 a piece! I plan to
make an arrangement thsi fall, of all oversize blooms, to put in my foyer.
These 3 blooms will be there for sure!
For a plant that I put and sort of pitched into a spot...it is my most
impressive bloom in the garden. If you don't have a tree peony, I urge you
to go shopping!
