Camellia japonica

Help me please-
I live in Zone 9 and purchased a Camellia japonica 'Professor Sargent', Dark
Red this past Spring. It is still in it's pot because I'm very unsure on
where to plant this little guy. I understand that some Camellia's will now
survive more sun than in the past. Is anyone out there familiar with this
Camellia or does anyone have any experience?
