I read many years ago and do not remember the source that this common daylily
with which we are all familiar usually carries a virus. The advice I
received at the time was to get rid of them if you are growing other
daylilies of any value.
If there's anyone on the list from the American Hemerocallis Society, perhaps
they can confirm or pooh-pooh this.
