Re: Daylilies

I believe what you are speaking of is what we call in Connecticut-Tiger 
Lilies. When we bought this house ten years ago, there was a big patch next 
to our front door. I had other things in mind for this area (Lily of the 
Valley, violets) so ripped them out. I have been Tiger Lily free, except this 
year on has bloomed in the border garden that runs along the length of the 
house. This is the first year it has bloomed and I know why. Last 
August/September I removed many things from the back of the border to the 
front. I guess it has room now to breath! It does look rather nice among the 
Shasta Daisies, Heliopsis, Coreopsis, Purple Coneflower. The orange is very 
subtle and I think I will leave it there.
