Re: Hollyhocks
Louise
I would simply croke if I thought I had said or done something to cause
your problem. Lord I'm sorry that you are loosing them. do you think
that is a remote possible that I could have jinked your hollyhock.
"nay" no way. I lay no clain to being able to put a curse on
anything, however if I could, none of us gardeners would never have to
weed again.
I can't imagine what could have gone wrong. do you remember the 7 or 8
plants that Gene Bush advised me to go ahead and put in the ground?
well they are still alive. it doesn't appear that they have grown any,
but the important thing is that they are alive. I expect every day to
discover them laid out in the dirt.
we have had a lot of rain in this area for the past 5 days. I think the
weather man said we have had over 7" . things are gettin water
logged. we can't even get in our veggie garden. we would sink and
they would probable fine us in China.
I've decided the thing for us to do is insist that DOREEN dig the ones
in her lawn and share with us less forunate.
yes I have seen photos of the Peaches-n-Dreams and I think they are
beyond words. I am gonna order a catalog from T & M and try some of
their seed and plugs (as they are refered to) I talked to Marge and she
highly recommends T & M, says she hasn't tried the plugs... I think
they are small seedlings. if you have ordered from them in the past,
have you ever ordered the plugs, and if so give me some advice.
after my experience with Springhill this year, I have swore off
ordering from any catalog, but the seed will be ok. I am really
disappointed with them after being a customer for 15 or 20 years. this
is the first time I've ever had a problem with bare root items. I've
never been bad to order live plants, because I've never had much luck
with them, but the bare root and bulbs or things like lilies have
always been ok.
hey I really wish I could help you about the hollyhocks, but you
already know how much trouble I have with them....Maybe DOREEN can give
you some advice.
Doreen is reallly gonna get upset with me if I don't quit teasing her
about her hollyhock in the lawn. I hope not , because I really like
to tease. you are a good person Doreen to put up with me.
if you find out what the problem is let me know I can always use good
advice
good luck with your hollyhocks
