Re: Hollyhocks

Hello donna,
We just returned from a couple of days vacation over in New Harmony, IN.
It was originally settled in the 1860 as a religious community. Every home
still has the gardens and court yards. Every home has a planting of flowers
of some kind, mostly the old 'heritage' perennials and annuals although some
of the newer stuff is creeping into the gardens. Never saw so many court
yards, patios, benches and fountains in my life. Anyway... guess what?
Hollyhocks everywhere you turned. Don't think I ever saw so many different
colors and bloom types. Thought of you and said a prayer in the Roofless
Church for your hollyhocks.
