Hey, Bob, if you just want a flower that wafts a chocolate aroma, consider
Berlandiera lyrata, the chocolate flower available from Plants of the
Southwest. It's hardy to zone 4. Summer days when the sun is hot, the
flowers close themselves. It has very low to zilch water requirements.
Plant is a bit rangy, but in a bed with other flowers, I think it would be
