Re: Crinum Lilies

I have not personally grown crinum lilies myself, but I have read about
them. 'crinum' is the botanical name followed by whichever variety it is.
For example, 'crinum bulbispermum' or 'crinum longifolium', etc. In his
book, *Garden Bulbs for the South* Scott Ogden has a lengthy discussion of
the crinums. He states that this subtropical plant has been in this country
since colonial times. I have seen them offered in Tony Avent's Plant
Delights catalog (www.plantdel.com) and Brent and Becky's
Bulbs(www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com )
