Finally..........someone is getting the message out!! Happy Returns is more
dynamic than Stella D'Oro. I am in the Carolinas, Zone 8. I purchased 1
Happy Returns about 7-8 years ago from Wayside for $10.99 (cheaper now). The
first year it bloomed beautifully throughout the summer....one stem each
blooming. The next year I had 1-2 stems on an off all summer. My third
summer the plant was 10in in diameter and bloomed profusely. I seperated and
the plant keeps multiplying....never shows any set back. It is lighter in
color than Stella D'oro and is maybe 2-3 in taller. But it outshines Stella
by light years in my garden. I have planted clumps at the street and at
walkways for it is an constant eye catcher. I have been told that Stella's
are not as prolific in East Coast Zone 8 and that it is happier in other
Zones like 7 and 6. What ever the reason the Stella have lost their front
yard space to the Happy Returns. Happy Returns blooms 4 times more often
than Stella .
