RE: Phlox THE KING

Lynn,
I have grown Phlox paniculata 'The King' for several years and am very fond
of it. It is a good strong purple and goes well with just about everything.
It is not prone to mildew, in my experience, as many of the Phlox are.
There is another called Starlight that makes a wonderful companion. It is
purple with a white eye and the leaves have quite a nice purple flush also.
How about Veronica peduncularis 'Georgia Blue' instead of the Goodness
Grows? It is 6", dark dainty leaves and a profusion of cheery Cornflower
blue, white eyed flowers. Blooms early and late in cooler weather.

Hi all,
Has anyone grown phlox paniculata THE KING? It is supposed to be a
purple/blue color. I am considering it to go near my Lantana MISS HUFF,
which is yellow/orange/pink. I am also thinking of salvias. I think I am
going to use veronica GOODNESS GROWS for a lower plant. Any other
suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Lynn
