I haven't found "Happy Returns" to be very fragrant in my garden -- certainly 
nothing like "Hyperion".  However, I wouldn't want to discourage you, because 
this has become one of my favorite daylilies.  Both of my married daughters 
were so impressed with it that they each purchased several for their own 
gardens last year.  They didn't want to wait until I was ready to divide 
mine.
