Yarrow, yarrow, yarrow

Hello Nancy,

I have both a nice yellow yarrow (which stays in the general area where
you place it-the clump gets a little larger around each year but it
doesn't send out tentacles of invading adolescents looking for trouble)
the pink altho more attractive is invasive.

If it were me I would gently remove all of the other varieties of plants
that I wished to keep and then shift thru all the soil for ANY part of
yarrow plant of root. Possibly you can put some in a container or plant
in a area that you don't mind being over run. You can also pass on some
of the plants to unsuspecting "friends". Good Luck !

I have a small creek along the back of my yard and it flooded several
times since the first of the year, and brought along 4 wheel barrow loads
of silt and corn stalks which I have spent the last two afternoons
removing. It gave me a good chance to notice which of my perennials have
broken ground, and what just might not be returning this year. Dozens of
varieties are coming up. Roses even have small leaves.
