Re: Spelling of plant names


Boy, do I wish all nurseries could get on the same bandwagon re:
spelling of plant names!  The times that I have done massive searches
to see who was carrying a specific plant, with the intent of making a
list for one of my articles, I have come up with an incredible
variation in spellings, entailing a whale of a lot of research to
determine which one was actually correct.....

Re: Darwin's phlox.  RHS Plantfinder lists 'Darwin's Joyce' - no
'Darwin's Choice', so I would opt for the 'Joyce' as being the
correct name and 'Choice' being a real muckup due to hearing it
spoken and writing what one thought it was but not taking the time to
actually verify it...
