Yes Plants sold as "The Pearl" due have variation. They are seed raised and as such not all "The Pearl"s are the same. Differences come in the size and shape of the flower, how double the flower is and how long the underground stems might run. One seedling I had a few years back I really liked- no runners longer than two inches, short growing (12-15 inches, clump forming plants with large fully double round flowers, A bright clean white. My parents loved it. I also had a row of "the Pearl" that was tall (30 inches), long runners-up to two feet and the flowers were a muddy white and only semi-double, plus they flopped over all the time even in full sun.... I hated them.
