Tracy DeSabato-Aust refers to daylilies as a "deadheading nightmare...wet
globs of tissue paper, slimy creatures, mush-mummies or the like--daylily
deadheads are ugly."

I wonder how you daylily growers handle the deadheading issue. I know that
daily or constant deadheading will keep the plants looking neater and help
keep those reblooming varieties reblooming, but I just don't keep up on it
that well. I sort of pick at them when I am out in the garden now and
again, but often leave them to their own self-cleaning devices. I know some
people who never deadhead their daylilies (large pieces of property with
lots of daylilies) and also leave them to their own devices. What do you
do?
