Hello Barb,
Meehania cordata is known as Creeping Mint. It is a native. Very nice
lavender-blue flowers about 1 1/2 inches long, very nice foliage that is
heart-shaped. Grows best in damp soil with rich soil. It is not invasive as mints,
but is a spreader and needs room. Have mine with royal ferns, ladyslipper
orchids.
Think my site is a bit on the dry side for it as it has not given me the full
coverage I was looking for.
