Sounds like a good combination to me.... bluebells and everblooming
bleeding hearts.
Sorry if I was misleading.
I am planning on mixing the mertensia with hostas.
They should look good in the spring and early summer until the hostas get bigger to fill in.
I want to put a couple D. "King of Hearts" in front of my D. spectabilis so I won't have a hole when it dies back.
I was hoping for some comparisons between "King of Hearts" and Luxuriant and other named cultivars. I've seen these listed:
`Adrian Bloom,' Dicentra formosa `Bacchanal,' Dicentra formosa `Bountiful,' Dicentra Formosa `Stuart Boothman,' Dicentra Formosa oregana `Langtrees.'
The trouble with mail ordering sometimes is there are too many options. And descriptions vary like bloomtimes -- July & August and July to Frost for the same plant.
I am looking for a Dicentra with "showy" blooms that can be seen from the street. And does well in Bright Shade! It will be between houses on the North side of mine. Don't ask for much, do I?

dormancy here.... do best waking up in their own bed. >>
Sorry I forgot that I had checked your site and what you offered.
So if I order these now, what do I do with them until I can plant them outside? I'm a lot cccccccolder than you. Especially right now. Its 4 degrees at 10 am with a wind-chill of -30!! Wish I could think of a good reason not to go to work today!
Thanks and best wishes,
