No, I agree. I wouldn't have expected the Dicentra to flower yet, so 
maybe everything is very forward. My Anemone sylvestris has only 
poked a few leaves so far and, from what I remember it does flower 
April/ May time.

The resaon I asked about creamy flowers is because I wondered if it 
could be Anemone multifida which is cream rather than white and which 
lots of seed turns out to be and which flowers earlier than A. 
sylvestris.  I could be wrong though!

The problem with A. sylvestris is that, in my experience, it needs to 
be completely fresh to germinate, like lots of Anemone seed but 
unlike A. multifida which stores well. Also A. sylvestris spreads 
readily so usually it's propsagated vegetatively. I have plenty of A. 
sylvestris to spare if you want some to compare.

Yes I do. It germinates fine but probably best after some cool 
temperatures. Excellent plant which, by its name, should need damp 
soil. It certainly likes damp soil and/or shade but will survive in 
quite a range of situations.
