It's been my observation that mildew in Pulmonarias is caused by soil
that is too dry...they don't appreciate that at all, really. I know
some are touted for dry shade, but it really ain't so. They want
their soil to remain consistently moist with good drainage. Dry soil
and cool air seem to bring on the mildew more than other conditions,
at least in my garden, where it's sporadic, depending on moisture.
