Wow!!  Those are some thorns!  Just out of curiosity......does this plant
have any redeeming features such as beautiful flowers?

Most of us tend to think of thorns as being projections off of a stem
or trunk.  Another one of the odd-ball plants which I grow is Solanum
pyracanthos, a tomato relative whose leaves are exceptionally
well-armed.
