Re: spring blooms

Hello Paul,
I just completed constructing my acid bed up on the hillside beneath
some pines and cedars. Wanted to come up with an special bed for plants that
are supposed to exist only in acid loving soils. Just transplanted 6 of the
pink ladyslippers to the bed. Also trying Iris verna in one corner. Using
Epigaea as a ground cover in and around the pink ladyslippers. Should be
interesting to watch it all unfold over the next few years.
Want to tell us the details of your fertilizing program for your lady
slippers? The yellow blooming??
