On a whim, I bought an oyster shucker at a farm sale because I thought
the big handle and sturdy blade would be good for weeding.  
It's excellent.  You can even probe deep into the pots to cut the weeds
root if it would tear up the pot too much to pry it out.  The tip is
small enough to use to prick out medium sized seedlings, and the blade
is wide enough to use as a small width dibble.  Pretty handy little
tool, I think.  If it just came with a motor and gearbox, I could put it
to all kinds of uses!
