Lani,
You can try using old sheets, blankets, floating row covers, straw, leaves,
pine boughs, etc. On specific plants you can use baskets, plastic milk
cartons, or even upside-down flower pots. Anything in a pinch! Just
remember to remove it when the cold front passes.
