Re: Crown Vetch
Besides all the good advice about crown vetch being invasive, before
you discount the plants you currently have, give them another year.
A friend of mine had someone seed crown vetch on her bank years ago.
The first year, she accused him of not sowing the seeds since she
didn't see anything. The second year, she had plants that just
languished. The third year, they just took off. Her driveway abutts
this bank and she has taken to purposefully running over the crown
vetch to keep it in check. She has nightmares about the crown vetch
crossing the driveway and working it's way towards her bedroom. (Well,
maybe that's a small exaggeration). And now, she's trying to figure
out how to remove it.
