I find Preen to be very effective. I try to follow the application rate
suggested on the label.
I use it in early spring, 1st of March in Cincinnati most years. If I
use it in the spring, I don't use it in the fall and vice-versa.
I don't know whether it builds up in the soil. I guess it's possible.
But I don't use it repeatedly month after month, only when I see weeds
start to develop.
And it's time. The last batch of mulch came with something small, green,
tiny white flowers, that re-seeds FAST. And it starts too early for
Round-up.
There is usually an 800 number of the container. Why not call it and ask
about residual build-up and let us know what they say?
