We completely agree with this statement. In this day an age of concrete
and black top runoff is cerntianly a problem to take into account when
applying chemicals. We always try to use a Propane Torch to eliminate
the weeds in and around sidewalks, etc-easy to use, safe, no runoff
problems, and no over-spray.
This is not to say we do not use Preen, Roundup, or Traflan. We use each
as the area or desired results dictate. We also use as little as
possible to accomplish the task and as someone else mentioned we always
read the directions carefully. It is everyones responsibility to protect
our environment. Specking of protecting please remember to wear
appropriate protective equipment when using any chemical which is only
commom sense but sometimes in our haste to get a project done we forget.
