For a pink combo, plant dwarf pink liatris and then pink threadleaf
coreopsis in front of that. If you want a more rustic look, combine the
coneflower with white Queen Anne's Lace or the chartreuse dill. If you
want more daisies, try the black-eyed susans (rudbeckia) with it.
If you want to go with some annuals, I like the blue salvia with also
provides a form contrast as well. (I suppose you could sub in the perennial
blue veronica instead since they bloom about the same time. Either way, it
softens the pink) Another natural would be the white coneflower, which is
slightly shorter than the purple (and try putting the annual spider flower,
or cleome, in back of that combo because it is pink and white). One other
annual would be the cream-colored marigold.
