Another great shade
gardening book is George Schenk's "The Complete Shade Gardener." You
can read a full review at my site: Adventures in Gardening

Pictures are worth a thousand words--besides, you won't have to visualize it, someone has done it for you. Off the top of my head, Harriett Cramer has a book called The Shadier Garden and Ken Druse has a couple on shade gardens with excellent photos! Our local library has a wonderful gardening section. I always seem to come home with an armload of books and take them back with a multitude of ideas.Ginny
