We have found that the following will tolerate moist conditions here in
zone 5 in Southwestern Michigan:
1. Arunus
2. Ligularia
3. Lobelia
4. Rodgersia
5. Trollus
6. Astilbe
7. Epimedium
8. Eupatorium fistulosum
There are a few others but without knowing more we are reluctant to
recommend. We also made the assumption from what you said that there was
not standing water thoughout the year if this is not the case these
plants will not work as the are moist edge plants.
