Betty,

You didn't say where you live but in my zone there is no such thing as
too much sun or too much warmth for tubersoses so you're on the right
track. Mine that only get sun until 2pm bloom a lot later and not as
well as the ones that are in sun all day long.

I plant my tuberoses in pots every couple of weeks indoors starting
about mid-March and move them to a cold frame when they come up. The
ones in the ground go in from mid-April to mid-May.

If you wait until summer to plant them it's possible your tuberoses
might not have time enough to bloom. Some of the bulbs that are planted
mid-May with a little shade don't bloom until October! My first bloom
is usually late June/early July.
