Good take on the MB catalog, Sue. It does look like a bargain-basement
catalog, doesn't it? I have a catalog question for everyone as I received an
unfamiliar one yesterday. The company is Roots and Rhizomes and the front
cover says: Speciallizing in Choice Daylilies, Siberian Iris, Hostas and
Perennials. Their address is a post office box in Randolph, Wisconsin,
altlhough they have 800 numbers for both phone and fax.
The daylilies and hostas are mostly older familiar cultivars and I was more
interested in the perennial listings. They have some nice photos and some
interesting selections, including a variegated brunnera and a double geranium.
Is anyone familiar with this company? Good experiences or bad? PLUS, they
ship most perennials bareroot and I don't have much experience with this--is
it a bad idea? The plants are not especially inexpensive although they're not
top of the line either.
thanks in advance.
