I have no idea whether this is a valid virus or not, but I suspect hoax.
Microsoft has not made any such announcement on any of its lists that I
subscribe to, nor has AOL said anything to its subscribers. Whenever these
are quoted as having said something, you should get out your salt shakers.
HOWEVER, one should always be extremely cautious about downloading, especially
any file with the .zip extension or even worse, the .exe extension. I don't
even download such things when they come from some of my best friends unless I
know that they are extremely technically competent, much moreso than I am. So
on that basis alone I wouldn't download this frog thing from anybody. So,
that's the value in having received this warning about the possible
virus--it's not bad to be reminded of these things now and then.
