I have a nearly 3 year old plant of liatris (white variety). I noticed this
year as I was weeding that it has sort of pushed itself out of the ground,
looking woody, coming up much like iris do. Is that normal growth for them?
It's in a sloped bed, so has the soil eroded there and it needs to be
covered up?

who look upon them to do likewise.
