Re: ...somewhere...under the snow...

In NE Mississippi I have Golden Bells (Forsythia), daffodils, crocus,
and a carolina jasmin in full bloom. My yard is a sea of yellow.
I'm worried about my Azelia's, some of them have buds and some blooms
already. I just lost one Saucer Magnolia and one Royal Star Magnolia
to the cold.
My Clematis's are leafing and I noticed a bud on one of them. I've got
iris, day lilies, astilbe, armaryllis, bleeding heart, coming up and
I'm really concerned. I think most of these are hardy enough to survive
these cool days and cooler nights, but I fear we will have one of
those artic blasts one day or night and I'll loose everything.
My neighborhood nursery lady just e-mailed me to let me know that the
Lace Cap Hydrangea had arrived, and I'm afraid to set it out

We have had a very strange weather pattern this season. such as 70's
in Jan. 60's and 70's in Feb. now 40's and 50's in March. I am
anxious for spring so that I can once again dig in the dirt. gardening
is my favorite thing to do.
