Spring is here-- I found it!!!
My crocuses and fritillaria have been open for a week, and my first daffie
opened last Saturday. I have shoots of hosta, columbine, dianthus, Shasta
daisy, and aster poking up. The new Japanese maple is fat with bud, and the
wisteria is pumping out new wood. The mini-rose is growing wildly, and in
the wild corner, the dicentras are growing (one is even blooming!), my 'St.
Brigid' anemone is beginning to bloom, and everything else is coming to life
(including the ferns, which are showing the starts of their annual
"fiddleheads").
We had a light frost over the weekend, but I think winter is on its way out
in these parts.
