I would divide these now and maybe trim them when you replant. It is
certainly not going to be getting any cooler, not with the way the winter
went. Whenever I transplant in the heat I try to make sure I water that
plant daily for about a week. It will probably wilt a bit but should bounce
back with vigor after the division.
