Donna...
We think so much alike.....I never even try to learn the "Latin" Name for
plants..unless it is something I learn inadvertently just do not have
time...I work full time and then after I come home..I want to be able to
spend the time I have outside....Sometimes I don't even make it inside to
change clothes before I start...will pull up, get out, look..and just start
"doing" Have to remind myself to take my things in and change clothes (I
should also say that I garden as a living 2 days a week..just started this a
month ago) So, sometimes I am DEAD tired and still.........It is out there
and I have to go.
BUT ! This year I have seen the absolute need for somekind of record..and am
going to have to do it !! and that is a planting guide....I have re-dug in
spots several times (am trying dahlias for the 1st time this year...and have
disturbed them several times..OH !, I feel so sorry !! so, in order not to do
that, I am going to have to bite the dust and do it.....UGH !!
I too, feel that it distracts from the "real thing"
So...with that I will again try to remember what other vine I planted with
the Moonflower this afternoon..(I am serious) :O) Oh..yes..Scarlet Runner
Beans !!
though the white would look good with the red..and I would also have day and
evening flowers....and if I didn't remember ? So what? as, long as I didn't
forget totally and "overplant" again. LOL, but would rather be too
enthusiastic.....than not.
See..I have to think hard about that..and it was only 8 hours ago.....so how
in the world am I going to keep records ??
Also....the common names of plants are so much more romantic..and that is a
huge part of gardening to me...touching and smelling the
plants..flowers..earth..etc...
