Although Bill Lee and I live within 15 miles of each other, our list of
good and bad re-seeders is different.
Brunnera macrophylla (Siberian bugloss) - good increaser here
Hesperis matronalis (dames rocket - just promised Bill some of this!)
Lobelia cardinalis - it doesn't die on me but doesn't increase either
(Bill's patch is spectacular and perfectly sited)
Mysotis - great guns here!
Hollyhock
Foxglove
Solomon's Seal
Black-eyed Susans
Nigella
I call it Purple Basil, Bill calls it Parilla
We have the same experiences with:
Helleborous Orientalis
Allium spp ( if I don't get them deadheaded right away)
Aquilegia - prolific (and Bill, I have the doubled purple)
And the weeds are rampant:
Dandelion
Scarlet Pimpernel
Chickweed
Oxalis
Broadleaf Plantain
Bitter Cress (thanks for the name Marge!)
Linda Wallpe
Cincinnati 6a
