Re: Self-seeding Perennials/Annuals


Perilla is definitely a prolific re-seeder!   Of course, for a person who
really likes fresh salads (which would not be me), a yard full of perilla,
garlic mustard, etc. might be a good thing (not an official "good thing,"
of course).

I like anything with purple or red leaves, so I pretty much let the
purple-leaved Perilla go wherever it wants.  I only WISH the purple-leaved
basils would re-seed the way Perilla does, because I don't really care for
Perilla's frilly leaves.  Not to mention that I could make all the pesto I
could eat.  ;-)
