It's the quarterly journal of the American Daffodil Society, 64 pages each
quarter (published in June, September, December, March) including 8 pages of
color photos of individual cultivars as well as daffodils in the landscape.
Articles cover everything you can think of about daffodils, from commentary
on individual cultivars, hybridizing, cultivation practices, labeling,
exhibiting, judging, companion plants, newest releases, and so on. Since it
is the society's journal, it also has to include official notices such as
minutes from board meetings, dates of local shows, additions/deletions from
the list of miniatures, etc. It's also won awards from the National Council.
It is the primary benefit of membership in the American Daffodil Society.
$20 per year (overseas slightly higher due to postage costs), sent to the
executive director:
Naomi Liggett, 4126 Winfield Road, Columbus, OH 43220. Include name,
address, and if possible, phone and email.
Perhaps members of other plant societies could post membership information
here. I think that would be useful. And perhaps the url for the plant
society's web site if there is one. The American Daffodil Society is at:
http://www.daffodilusa.org. If you have been to the site before, or
bookmarked it, note that the location has changed and we now have our own
domain name: daffodilusa.org.
