Hi Group,
Question from a beginner. There has recently been discussion about using
bags to collect seed. What kind of bag should be used - plastic baggie
type or brown paper bags, etc. My sister has a Polychroma that I really
like and would like to try and collect some of the seed so I can get
some started. Or is there another method such as cuttings that I can
use. If I use seeds, when do I start them, etc. Also, how soon/when
should I place the bags.
I've been reading in this group's messages how Euhporbias reseed like
crazy. I have a Euphorbia amygdaloides 'Purpurea' that has never
reseeded in the couple of years that I've had it. Maybe I've cut the
flowers too early. On the other hand, my mother has a Euphorbia of
unknown variety that has spread quite nicely into unwanted areas. I have
dug these up and they will find a home somewhere in my garden.
Thanks,
Karen
