Hello list,
A while back
I asked about sources for the MAY QUEEN shasta daisy and recommendations were
given. I did order them from Bluestone Perennials and I am happy to report
all but 1 of 6 already have buds on them. I really did not expect them to
bloom this first year, but they are going to. I was very pleased with the
plants and the fast service. I ordered from them twice this spring and the
second order came in less than a week.
I also
ordered from Bluestone HUSKER RED penstemons, sedum FROSTY MORN, and phlox
stoloniferia BRUCE'S WHITE. The penstemons and sedum are looking pretty
good, but the phlox is a little weak. Hopefully it will develop a good
root system and do better next year. I am already having to water a good
bit with the almost 90 degree days we had late last week and the early part of
the weekend. Thankfully it was in the 70's today.
