neighbor

Janet,

You are being way too understanding, this "gentleman" only wants a fight
or monetary compensation and you should give him neither. Give him a
very cold shoulder and If when he sobers up or cools down he approaches
you again. Tell him to hire himself a attorney and have his attorney
contact yours and let him know in no uncertain terms that you do not
intend to discuss it with him. I will bet he will never go to the
expense of hiring anyone. He doesn't sound like a very good neighbor
anyhow. Pity his poor family for having to put up with him, but you
don't. IF you do decide to plant another hedge--plant it on the line or
slightly on your side so that in the future you can trim as you see fit.
Take pictures of the hedge now. Just in case. Good Luck

Dee Ann
