Hi Don,
Of course you are right. The better word to use would have been light
instead of sun. I saw the variegated ground ivy at a very large nursery
yesterday on one of my forays out to check what the competition is selling
and for how much. Prices have really taken a big jump since last season.
Many of the wholesale nurseries have added an "energy surcharge" to their
products because of the big jump in energy cost here on the west coast.

I might amend the above to suggest that more light might be good, but
you must be careful, particularly with plants with large amounts of
the leaf that are absent chlorophyll, as these are very susceptible
to sunburn.
Would you believe they actually sell a variegated ground ivy/Creeping
Charlie (Gle choma)?
