Hi Everyone,
Three years ago I went to the nursery just looking around and came
across a two little plants with the prettiest blue flower. The name
on it was Mountain Bluet and I had to have them. After getting them I
did my research and found they were also called Knapweed and a few
other things. The Knapweed should have been the first clue but I
didn't think anything of it. Last year they were so big we dug them
up to divide them and the root balls were huge. We ended up with
enough pretty little plants to give to friends, put some in a garden
in the backyard and replace the two we dug up. Well....this year we
could open a nursery selling just Mountain Bluets. There are hundreds
of them all over everywhere and the cute little seedlings bloom the
first year and you can't pull them up you have to dig them up. A
friend came over yesterday and said Oh what is that I really like it.
After showing and telling him about how invasive it is he still wanted
some so he went off with pots of it. Now I wonder would I still have
bought it if I had known.
