Vivien,
I got three of those dwarf rhodies (impeditum) and they are the first I have
even planted with the very small leaf, tiny and hardly discernible as a leaf
and very compact form. I hope we can keep them through our winters. Our
rocks group said they were very hardy and suited to our area - but needed to
have good drainage. It pays to have a scout at the big chain stores once in
a while.
