I need to get another piece of it.  I got it to put in a small bed 
near the road and was told it would cope with the damp soil and full 
sun.  (I think my lower/front lawn was a vernal pond before the area 
was developed 100 years ago and there is still marshy areas all 
around me).

Let's just say it didn't.

I'll have see if I can it again.  Interestingly, the name I have was 
Japanese Hornbeam....
