sterilizing

I cook my wet medium for 10 minutes under plastic wrap. Then I
sterilize the pots and labels with 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Then
the pots are put into 1 gallon ziplock baggies. The water you use also
needs to be sterilized. Nothing is ever easy and simple. Most of the
fungi will not hurt the plants but the fern spores can be outgrown by
the slime mold very fast.
You could just pull the mushrooms out but somewhere they just did not
get killed by the microwaves.
