Sounds like your area has many to choose from. I have already asked
Linda for some directions.

Lady Slippers are awesome, especially in a natural setting. We have an
original native colony of them at the nature center where I do a lot of
volunteer work at. Truly a special area when in bloom. They are way
hidden from the public areas, so most people do not know they even exist
there. Unfortunately, they may all disappear if everyone knew they were
there. :( We attempted to move a few of them to an area that is more
traveled thru at the center, so people could see them. They really did
not like it, very fussy plant.
