I've grown it for close to 30 years.  I make sure to handle it with
gloves, so have not gotten a rash from it.  Think it is like
Euphorbia, some people are sensitive to it and some aren't.  
Considering the sensitivity I have developed to euphorbs, I ain'ta
takin' chances:-)   I grow it for the foliage - very nice blue/green
and interestingly shaped - in more shade than it would really like. 
Mine do not flower, which it will do in sun.  Tends to suffer winter
die back and needs major hair cut in spring, but seems to return. 
I've lost some old ones; think they got too woody.   Would not like
to be without this plant.  One of those quiet ones that add to the
scene in a marvelous sort of way IMO.
